I went to LCC a couple of days ago with my little sister for her enrolment. A lot of work was exhibited in the Lower Street Gallery and on the first floor. I took photographs of some of the work that I liked.
This body of a man is probably made of plastic. What I liked about this sculpture was the part on where the arms are supposed to be. It looks like foam/lather. It might represent the inner parts of the body but I liked to see it as lather.
This chair is a wooden chair with very detailed work. The backrest and the armrest have the detailed work on them. Here, the laser cutting was used. It is a fusion of a chair and a kind of rickshaw as it has got a wheel on the back.
This piano reminded me of my Pantone project, probably because of all the colours. On the piano its said to not touch the keys, but it was clear that every time a key was pressed, the coloured pen would hit the paper that was fixed in the back and would leave a dot. I think this is a very innovative idea and I really liked the concept of it.
This was an installation that was attached to the floor and the ceiling. the material used for this work seemed to be floss to me. On a little description it was explained that it would show a certain word, when standing on a black cross which was about 2m away from the installation. The next image shows the word, that was visible.
I think this idea for an installation is very interesting and it makes the viewer curious because when I read the description, I was directly looking for the black cross on which to stand on.
This image is of a work that was attached to the wall. It says: Keep a cool Heart. I liked this saying and therefore, took a picture. I also really liked the fact that you could see yourself in the work of someone else. The pattern all around are also very detailed and very beautifully done.
